At a time when the shelf life for knowledge is decreasing and the pressure to manage critical skills gaps is increasing, continuous upskilling and reskilling has become a strategic imperative for any organization seeking a high performing, engaged workforce in an age of disruption. The importance of continuous learning and professional development has reached an all-time premium in organizations. Recognizing the importance of establishing positive interpersonal relationships is a key component of any learning culture. There are current challenges to address as  the growing attrition of eligible retirees increases and organizational cultures often fail to attract the new worker due to the lack of understanding of what draws new employees to an employer. The research linking learning to business success is compelling. The opportunity for digital learning to play a heightened role in the education and workforce development arenas is persuasive and highlights the urgency for creating a learning culture.
